Run your own JARVIS voice assistant on Windows
Say "Hey Jarvis" and a holographic assistant answers. It's a free, open-source project that uses the Claude plan you already pay for as its brain. Here's what it does, what you need, and the quick start.

See what it does

Try these first
- "Hey Jarvis, what's the capital of France?"
- "Jarvis, turn red."
- "Hey Jarvis, pulse."
All three were confirmed live on a normal Windows PC. Nothing here is mocked up.
What you need
On your PC
- Windows (this walkthrough was tested on Windows 11 only)
- Node.js 20 or newer
- Git
- Google Chrome and a working microphone
Your Claude account
- A paid Claude plan
- Claude Code installed and logged in. The Claude desktop app is not the same thing
JARVIS is free to install. It runs on your own Claude plan, so there's no separate API bill.
The quick start
Open a terminal in a folder you want to keep this in, then run these in order.
- Make a folder and download JARVIS into it
mkdir jarvis cd jarvis git clone https://github.com/adewaskar/jarvis.git . - Install it (let it finish)
npm install - Start it
npm start - Open
http://localhost:5173in Chrome, click INITIALISE, allow the microphone, and say "Hey Jarvis."
That's the short version. If something doesn't match what you see on screen, that's normal on a fresh Windows machine, and it's what the full guide is for.
Want it to just work the first time?
The Full Install Guide is $1.99. It's the version we wrote while installing JARVIS live on a real Windows PC, step by step, with the screenshots and the errors we actually hit:
- Every step with the exact screens you should see, so you always know you're on track
- Installing Git, Node and Claude Code if you don't have them yet, in the right order
- The real errors and the exact fix for each one, including the "package not found" error, the false alarms in the setup check, and the Windows Firewall prompt
- How to set up the microphone and the first voice test the right way
- A short checklist to confirm it's working
Instant access after payment. If it doesn't work as written, email us within 7 days and we'll fix it with you or refund you.
What comes after
Always-on setup
Make JARVIS start by itself when you log in, restart if it ever stops, and live as a small always-on-top desktop widget instead of a browser tab. Coming soon.
Fix-It troubleshooting library
A lookup for the errors the install guide can’t cover, so you can fix them on sight. Coming soon.
